Ongoing education and training is an integral part of this practice. Trained at our facility and through ongoing continuing education programs, our tech team is proficient in a variety of areas including pet nutrition, administration of anesthesia, surgical assisting and monitoring, dentistry, intravenous and subcutaneous fluid administration, critical care, phlebotomy and radiology. They and our support staff are knowledgeable about the products and services we provide, and they rise to the challenge daily to help our patients and their families.

We’re here to help, from your first appointment with a new pet to maximizing your pet’s health and well-being, to providing support, counseling and care as your pet ages.

Our veterinary team is passionate about what we do, and we promise to be sensitive to the needs of both pet and owner, while ensuring that your pet receives the best care possible. Making decisions for your pet can be challenging, but rest assured that we will always be there to explain treatment options and find solutions to maximize your pet’s health and well being.

Meet the team

Dr. Sheri Cassell

DVM, Practice Owner

After graduating from the University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997, I moved to New Hampshire, and felt at home right away. I first lived and worked in the Seacoast area, and would come to the Mt. Washington Valley to play. In 2006, when the opportunity arose to take over this practice, I jumped at it—and every day I’m so glad that I did. I love veterinary medicine because I’m able to help animals live longer and happier lives with the people who love them. Although my areas of special interest include surgery and dentistry, I really love that every day I see something new and I ‘m learning constantly. It’s important to me to get to know each pet and its family as this enables me to respect that relationship and better provide what is needed. I spend my time away from CVH with my fabulous family enjoying all the fun the Valley has to offer.

Dr. Amanda White

DVM

I grew up in Southern NH and knew from a young age that I wanted to be a veterinarian. I completed my Bachelors degree in Medical Biology at the University of New England in Biddeford, ME. From there, I traveled across the country to pursue my veterinary degree at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. After graduating, I spent a few years in emergency medicine but have grown to enjoy general practice and diagnostic imaging (X-ray and Ultrasound). In my free time, I enjoy reading, running, skiing, Bruins hockey and crafting. My family and I live on a small farm in Moultonborough.

Dr. Taylor Goldberg

DVM

Dr. Taylor Goldberg attended Tufts University and graduated in 2013. Having grown up in suburban New Jersey, attending veterinary school in Massachusetts allowed her to spend time learning about so-called “nature”. Her friends made sure she got the full experience by taking her hiking, kayaking, and camping in the White Mountains. She loved it so much she moved to the Mount Washington Valley following graduation! Dr. Goldberg has worked as a general practice and emergency veterinarian in the Mount Washington Valley since 2013 focusing on preventative care and overall patient (and owner!) wellness. She enjoys urgent care cases, surgery, and helping pet owners come up with a plan that makes sense for their lifestyle. In her free time, you might find Dr. Goldberg spending time with her family and their 2 dogs (Ronin the mastiff and Moxie the chihuahua), participating in various fitness activities, or cooking up something delicious.

Sue Arvidson

Practice Manager

My career in veterinary care began in 1996 as a receptionist at a single doctor practice in New Jersey. I moved to Marblehead Massachusetts in 2005 where I joined a 5 doctor team as a veterinary technician in training. In 2019 I advanced my career as a surgical assistant/hospital manager for an orthopedic surgeon in Harvard. Upon my arrival in New Hampshire, I obtained the position of practice manager, also known as chaos coordinator. My free time is spent with my 2 dogs Raine (Husky/Shepherd Mix 8 yrs old) and Willow (Lab Mix 5 yrs old) going for walks, hiking, playing ball, wading – neither one of them likes to full on swim – LOL. I also have a passion for cooking, reading and British television. My bucket list does include a trip to England with my daughter, son-in-law, son and his girlfriend, someday!!!!
